Family

We hope to have links to different resources that will help you as a family. We also hope to suggest certain topics that you need to be aware of that affect your family. Please be patient as we prepare several articles for publication.

The family is so critical to our work as a church body. There are no “good” families or “bad” families. We all have ways that we show our brokenness as individuals. And that brokenness is amplified within the family unit. But we may be a family that does not deal with or care about the brokenness in our family. We also may not care about how that brokenness shows up. This is not good. Instead of thinking “good or bad” we would like you to think of biblical or not biblical structure and lifestyle together. The Bible defines and illustrates the goals and the problems that will show up in the family. Together I hope we can explore some of these issues together in the future.  Stay tuned.

“God is in the process of counseling the prophet Jonah. Yes, in a certain way, we get to sit in on a counseling session between God and Jonah. Although the session or sessions come to an end quickly for us, we still get insight into God’s heart and Jonah’s heart. And that is the core of biblical counseling, bringing man and God together in such a way that man is faced with truth about God and truth about his own heart. The result depends on man’s response to what he sees and hears about God and what God wants of man.”
